Greene County Council on the Arts presents “Catskills Hikes,” a three person show where painter Athena Billias, furniture artisan Mary LaCafe and pinhole photographer Marianne Neuber share their vision of life in the Catskills.

Athena Billias of Tannersville paints with watercolors on site, using a quick-dry method that preserves the spontaneity of sketches. Mary LaCafe is a self-taught artisan who started Windham’s Lavender Hill Woodworking in 1988. Her studies of Shaker philosophy and methods of joinery have inspired the design and construction of her hardwood furniture. Marianne Neuber of Gilboa is drawn to pinhole photography because of the magical quality of images captured through this low-tech process.
