Greene County Council on the Arts presents Sculpture on Main, the second of its 2008 juried exhibitions. The exhibition opens May 3, 2008 at the GCCA Catskill Gallery. The public is invited to the opening reception on Saturday, May 3, from 5-7p.m. at 398 Main Street, Catskill, NY.

Trevor Tunison “Self Portrait,” clay

The exhibition highlights work by world-renowned sculptor Ron Tunison. Tunison is serving as juror and curator, with assistance from GCCA Visual Arts Director Erica Potrzeba. The show will not only showcase the well-known cold-cast bronze sculptures of Ron Tunison, but will also feature works in clay by his wife, Alice, and sons Trevor and Wesley Tunison.
A diverse display of sculpture by local GCCA members is featured in Sculpture on Main, in a variety of forms and media. The works range from large freestanding pieces to wall-mounted works, from abstract, to realistic. Sculptors include Dina Bursztein, Steven Brignoli, Leslie Brice, Wilfred Charbonneau, Bruno de Santis, Kevin Vincent Kelly, Barbara Lubell, John Lutes, Clark Ryndak, and Marguerite Val de Tara King.
