GCCA Seeks Input for Artists Business Workshops

You may be a great ceramic artist, but have no idea how to get your work to a buying public. You may be a midcareer artist who needs to have some regular traffic through your studio to encourage gallery participation outside the Hudson Valley. You may be an emerging artist wondering how to take part in group exhibitions locally. The business of art is a distinctly separate skill from your artistic ability.

The Greene County Council on the Arts is developing a series of workshops to help artists at all levels and in all price ranges) to further professionalize. What would you like to learn? How to present your artwork? How to set up a website? How to photograph your work? How to use social networking effectively? Feedback about your work from gallerists, curators, arts writers? Face to face networking opportunities?  Product development for craft artists?

Send your ideas to Fawn Potash, GCCA Visual Arts Director, fawngreenearts.org or call 518-943-3400 Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
