GCCA is proud to present a new Summer Salon exhibit featuring artwork and crafts exclusively by GCCA members. While our winter salon is dedicated to fine art and gift-buying, our summer salon is centered around the theme of makers. Please see below for questions and answers about this exciting new exhibit!
What do we mean by “makers”?
“Makers” bridge art, technology and crafting to create a new hybrid of functional and/or decorative art. Basically, if you use any type of tool or technology to make your artwork, you are a maker!
Who is eligible for this exhibit?
Any GCCA member can be in this exhibit (even non-makers). If you are interested in becoming a member, or renewing your membership, click HERE!
When is the exhibit?
The exhibit dates are June 3-July 22, 2017
When do we drop off work?
Work should be dropped off at the GCCA gallery (398 Main Street, Catskill NY) on May 25, 26 & 27
How many pieces can we submit, and how big can they be?
You can submit up to three pieces, limited to 24 inches in length and width.
Is there a limit on price?
No, but GCCA suggests work is priced at $300 or less.
Whom should we contact if we have more questions?
Please contact GCCA’s Visual Arts Director, Niva Dorell, at (518) 943-3400, email@example.com
The New York Times recently described Catskill as a “mecca for artisans,” so we are very excited to share our members’ work with the public!
