A Night of Neo-Benshi: Flow Chart Cabaret Cinema Returns to Hudson Hall

Back by popular demand, The Flow Chart Foundation returns to Hudson Hall at the historic Hudson Opera House on Saturday, July 17 at 7PM with a new evening of one-of-a-kind neo-benshi fun. Neo-Benshi artists take scenes from popular film or television and replace the sound with their own unique performance.

Curated by Flow Chart Executive Director Jeffrey Lependorf, the following guest artists take the stage in front of Hudson Hall’s full-size projection screen: Davon, Brandon Downing, Michael Gottlieb, Aristilde Paz Justine Kirby, Jeffrey Lependorf, Stephin Merritt, Marianne Shaneen, and Edwin Torres. Join us for re-interpretations of classics from North by Northwest and Close Encounters of the Third Kind to Gilda and Sissy Boy Slap Party.
