Ball Silent Auction-How to Donate Artwork , Vouchers or a Specialty Item

Dear Artists, Donors, and Friends,

On April 6, 2019 GCCA will celebrate its work and service to the arts at the 31st Annual Beaux Arts Ball at The Copper Tree Restaurant at Hunter Mountain. This annual gathering, Masked Ball and Black Tie Bistro, attracts devoted patrons to the arts raising revenue toward GCCA operating support.

The Beaux Arts Ball is the Arts Council’s primary fund raising event, supporting the many diverse and varied programs GCCA provides throughout the year. We continually strive to keep the arts alive and meaningful in our surrounding area as well as draw attention to the important contribution of the arts in Greene, Columbia and Schoharie Counties. Now celebrating our 43rd year of service to the arts, our past accomplishments have been defined by you, and we attribute our relevance to your support. Our artists, donors and friends are critical to our success, and we are very, very grateful!

The silent auction is vital to the evening’s fund raising success. Please consider donating an original piece of art in any medium, a specialty item or service to our juried silent auction. We hope you will donate your finest pieces or most sought after services in support of your Arts Council. Please feel free to include your resume and/or a business card also for display. A preview of auction items and auction donors’ list will be featured on our website by visiting greenearts.org. Please email a JPEG (72-300 dpi) of your artwork or item directly to gcca@greenearts.org no later than February 25, 2019. Include title, medium, dimensions, value and all other relevant information, including expiration dates for gift certificates and vouchers.

To show our appreciation to artists participating in the silent auction, we will randomly select one artist who will receive two complimentary tickets to the 31st Annual Beaux Arts Ball. Please deliver your work or specialty item to the Catskill Gallery located at 398 Main Street in Catskill by March 1, 2019 to be listed in the evening’s program. (We are no longer able to accept donations at Hunter Mountain as we have in the past, all items must be brought to GCCA in Catskill.) The GCCA Catskill Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday noon to 5 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Marline A. Martin or Sharon Shepherd at the GCCA office at 518-943-3400. Please feel free to email us at gcca@greenearts.org as well.

We look forward to hearing from you and thank you again for your continuing support.

With Warm Regards,

David Slutzky, Chairman of the Board of GCCA
