Palenville The Hamlet

Palenville The Hamlet

Community service group, Palenville The Hamlet, produced the Hidden Gallery Walk, a free, two-day art event which celebrates the town’s historic role as “the place where American Art began.”  As the area’s scenic gateway into the Catskills, Palenville was an inspiration to the Hudson River School of painters and continues to attract artists of all kinds. The event involved 41 artists representing a variety of fields, featuring open artist studios, exhibitions and live music.
