As a CREATE member, you show active support of local arts and culture and have a direct link to what’s happening in our area and the opportunities available to artists and artisans.

CREATE has consolidated levels of membership and enhanced its membership benefits package in our endeavor for members to discover, explore, experience and learn about the creativity, culture and work from others including artists, historic destinations and arts organizations within our region. New CREATE Members benefits include Arlene’s Artist Materials, Bronck Museum, Catskill Tri-County “Historical Views” publication, Iroquois Indian Museum, Music & Art Center of Greene County and Zadock Pratt Museum.

Membership Levels



  • Receive our bimonthly newsletter “Arts Alive” containing arts-related information, grants and opportunities listing and a cultural events calendar.
  • Submit artwork free of charge for group and curated exhibitions at our Catskill gallery.
  • Automatic acceptance of artwork in annual “members only” salon exhibitions.
  • Opportunity to consign work and artisan crafts in CREATE‘s Artful Hand Boutique.
  • Become part of our artist resource file and have your website listed and linked on our “RESOURCES/Artists Members” page.
  • 10% discount on purchases at CREATE Catskill Gallery and Artful Hand Boutique.
  • 10% discount at Spotty Dog Books & Ale (art supplies included) Warren Street, Hudson NY.
  • Receive advance email program announcements and invitations to special events, exhibits and seminars.
  • CREATE Members may join the Columbia-Greene Federal Credit Union membership and receive a myriad of financial services. Visit www.cgfcu.org for more information.
  • CREATE offers its e-newsletter announcements for Arts Businesses and Arts Organizations ($50 fee per e-blast) and discounts on display advertising.
  • $250 and up – You will receive one voucher for a Gift Membership at the Individual Level to extend to another individual. (Certificate is for a “NEW” Membership)
  • $500 and up – same as above plus two free tickets to a non-fundraising event sponsored by a CREATE member organization. (Some restrictions may apply.) Please check the Calendar of Events online or in our Arts Alive newsletter for current listings.
  • $1,000 or more – same as above plus two free tickets to a CREATE special event (Beaux Arts Ball and major fundraisers excluded.)

  • CREATE Offers a New Benefit to its Membership Package: New Optional Supplemental Insurance Benefits!Greene County Council on the Arts dba CREATE Council for Resources to Enrich the Arts, Technology & Education is offering its Members a NEW Membership Benefit! We are excited to announce that supplemental insurance benefits are now available to CREATE Members, whose membership is current, through Combined Insurance. With this new venture, the Council joins a number of local businesses that also work with Combined, including The Juice Branch, Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, Village Pizza, and the Catskill Police Department.

    What is supplemental insurance? Its insurance that pays cash to you when you’re sick or injured, helping you to maintain your standard of living when the unexpected happens. Coverage is extremely affordable, and the benefits are extraordinary! For example, Accident Protector Policy is only $15.17 a month for an individual and has 21 different benefits that pay cash to you when you’re injured.

    All CREATE Members interested in learning more about these benefits can meet with Matt Winans, local Combined Insurance Agent, on Thursday, February 27. CREATE will host two information sessions, the first at 2:00 p.m. and a repeat session at 5:30 p.m. Both sessions take place at CREATE‘s Catskill Gallery, 398 Main Street, Catskill, NY. Double the impact of your support by sharing the receipt to (CREATE) the Greene County Council on the Arts, an official 501(c)3, with your employer and ask them to match your support. CREATE’s arts programming rely on gifts like these!
