Actors Fund Entertainment Assistance Program

The Actors Fund provides services and financial support to entertainment professionals facing personal or work-related problems. It is also a conduit for emergency financial assistance in times of pressing need or in response to catastrophic events.

Anonymous Was a Woman 

Program provides grants of up to $2,500 for women artists over the age of 40, administered in partnership with New York Foundation for the Arts.

Artist Fellowship

This grant provides emergency aid to professional fine artists and their families in times of sickness, natural disaster, bereavement or unexpected extreme hardship. Only artists with immediate medical emergencies should apply.

Artist Relief

Artist Relief will distribute $5,000 grants to artists facing dire financial emergencies due to COVID-19; serve as an ongoing informational resource; and co-launch the COVID-19 Impact Survey for Artists and Creative Workers, designed by Americans for the Arts, to better identify and address the needs of artists.

Art Interrupted Emergency Arts Fund

Twenty Summer has launched an emergency fund for artists and arts organizations suffering from unexpected and unmanageable financial loss as a result of the COVID-19. Artists can receive up to $500, while arts organizations can receive up to $1,000.

ASJA Writers Emergency Assistance Fund

Helps established freelance writers who, because of illness, disability, a natural disaster, or an extraordinary professional crisis are unable to work. COVID-19 funds available only to those who cannot work due to illness or caring for someone ill.

Authors League Fund

Provides modest emergency aid to professional writers and are accepting applications from writers experiencing income loss due to COVID-19.

The Blues Foundation HART Fund

The Blues Foundation Handy Artists Relief Trust Fund is available to Blues musicians and their families who are in financial need due to a broad range of health concerns.

Bret Adams & Paul Reisch Foundation COVID-19 response grant lottery. Playwrights, composers, lyricists, and librettists are invited to apply.

Burnaway’s Emergency Writers Grant 

Burnaway has an open application to apply for cash grants of $500. Critics and culture writers based in the South, who are facing financial emergencies due to COVID-19 are welcome to apply by May 15.

Corona Relief Fund

The Equal Sound Corona Relief Fund was set up on short notice to provide direct financial assistance to musicians who have lost work as a result of Corona-related event cancellations.

COVID-19 Musicians Fund

Sweet Relief is here to provide immediate assistance and we have created this DONOR-DIRECTED FUND with a limited amount of funds available to be used specifically for musicians and music industry workers affected by the Coronavirus.

Creative Capital

Creative Capital has joined forces with several national arts grantmakers to form Artist Relief — an initiative that includes immediate, unrestricted emergency funding of $5,000 for individual artists of all disciplines, and resources to help those in need due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Dramatists Guild Foundation Emergency Grants for COVID-19

For dramatists (playwrights, composers, lyricists, librettists) seeking emergency financial assistance from the Dramatists Guild Foundation due to COVID-19 related circumstances.

Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant

Deadline: rolling basis

he Foundation for Contemporary Arts offers Emergency Grants between $200 and $2,500 for visual and performing artists. They review applications once a month, so you can quickly take advantage of momentum or solve any budget errors.

Freelancers Relief Fund

Provides assistance of up to $1,000 per household to qualifying freelancers to cover lost income and essential expenses. Applicants will be asked to submit a detailed funding request outlining their needs.

GlobalGiving Red Backpack Fund 

Majority women-owned businesses and nonprofits with annual revenues less than $5M can now apply for $5,000 grants in support of long-term recovery from the COVID-19crisis.

Gottlieb Emergency Grant Program

Deadline: rolling basis

This emergency grant provides financial assistance to painters, printmakers, and sculptors whose needs are the result of an unforeseen incident, and who lack the resources to meet that situation.

Hyperallergic and Y.ES Contemporary are accepting applications for a 2020 arts writers grant; writers interested in covering contemporary arts in and about El Salvador should apply by May 15.

Musicians Foundation

The Musicians Foundation provides grants to U.S. musicians in any genre in a time of acute need due to personal, medical, dental, or family crisis, natural disaster, or other emergency situation.

The NDN Collective

The NDN Collective’s COVID-19 Response Project is designed to provide immediate relief to some of the most underserved communities in the country. NDN’s intent is to quickly distribute resources to frontline organizations, Tribes, and individuals who are providing essential services to Indigenous communities within the next 15-45 days to provide gap resources during this health crisis.

New Music Solidarity Fund

The New Music Solidarity Fund is an artist-led initiative that aims to grant emergency funding to musicians impacted by COVID-19. Find out more about donating and applying

NYFA Emergency Grants List

This emergency relief fund program will offer three rounds of applications: May 5-6, May 19-20, and June 2-3.

PEN American Writers’ Emergency Fund

Grants of $500 to $1,000 based on applications that demonstrate an inability to meet an acute financial need, especially one resulting from the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Photographer Fund

Format has put together a $25,000 relief fund designed to help photographers facing financial difficulties during the outbreak. The fund offers $500 per person.

Rauschenberg Emergency Grant

NYFA and the Rauschenberg Foundation have teamed up to offer visual and media artists and choreographers in the US grants of up to $5,000 for medical related emergencies.

The Women’s Center for Creative Work is offering $1,000 grants for artists who are immunocompromised, disabled, chronically ill, undocumented, caregivers, or food or housing insecure. There is a weekly deadline every Friday.
